Bit 7 -
Update Panel Before Allowing Buffer Change.
When bit 7 is set to 0, the 3290 will suspend panel updating to
process a host transmission. Under high-data-rate conditions,
messages sent by the host and placed in the display buffer may get
overlaid with new data before being displayed on the panel.
When bit 7 is set to 1, all display buffer contents must be displayed
on the panel before new data can be placed in the display buffer.
It
is recdhurtended that bit 7 be set to 1 when 3290s are being used
as system consoles or other applications where potentially high
message rates are possible and the· user is required to visually
interpret all data sent by the host.
