Listening to tapes
Playback
You can use either deck 1 or deck 2 for tape playback.
You can use normal, chrome and metal tapes for playback.

This page shows an example using deck 1.
Switch on the power on the
amplifier.
Press ▲ OPEN, and then in¬
sert the cassette you wish to
play.
Insert the cassette with the exposed tape
facing down.

Press CLOSE on deck 1 to
close the cassette holder.
Press DOLBY NR If the cas¬
sette you want to play was re¬
corded using the Dolby noise
reduction mode.
The Dolby NR IN Indicator will light up.
if the tape was not recorded using the
DOLBY NR mode, press DOLBY NR to
cancel the Dolby NR OUT indicator.
Press REVERSE MODE to se¬
lect the reverse mode you
want to use.
Each time you press REVERSE MODE,
one of the indicators wili light up to show
which mode you selected.
-— : The Player plays one side only,
and then the tape automatically
stops.
: The
player
plays both
sides
8 times, and then the tape auto*
matically stops.
CO: The player plays both sides of the
tape, then automatically stops.
When you load cassettes into
both decks, the deck makes a se¬
quential playback among 2 tapes.

>: The forward side (front side) will
play.
<: The reverse side will play.

VOLUME
Adjust the volume level as you
like on the amplifier.
To stop tape playback:

To change the deck to be
used:
Press DECK 1/2 to select the deck you
want to use.
DECK 1 or DECK 2 indicator will illumin¬
ate to show which deck you can operate.
Concerning D> indicator:
While stopping: Lights in orange.
While playing:
Lights in green.
For your reference:
The tape will automatically stop when a different sound mode is
selected during its operation.
