O All connections are made (pg. 8, 17).
O TV and VCR are plugged in.
O TV is on and tuned to CH3, 4, or VIDEO.
U Remote is in VCR mode. (Press VCR)
1 Insert a tape,
*« VCR power comes on.
"VCR" lights on Multi Function Display.
Press PLAY*
to play tape.
* if tape has no rec. tab (pg. 4), auto play begins.

Special Features During Play
ll Forward/ Reverse scene search
--> Press FF or REW.
--> Press again or PLAY to release.
M Still (Freeze) picture
--> Press PAUSE/SLOW.
--> Press PLAY to release.
MM Frame by Frame picture
--> Press PAUSE/SLOW
in Still mode.
--> Press PLAY to release.
HB Slow Motion picture
--> Hold down PAUSE/SLOW
in Still mode.
--> Press PLAY to release.

mode.
* The sound will be muted.
+ To reduce picture noise, see "Manual
Tracking Control" on page 25.
+ After the VCR is in Still or Slow mode for 3
minutes, it will switch to Stop mode
automatically to protect the tape and the
video head.
Press STOP
to stop tape.
Press REW or FF In Stop mode
to Rewind/ Fast Forward tape.
Press EJECT on remote,

or STOP/EJECT
on VCR to eject tape.
Remove loose or peeling
labels from tapes
to prevent tape jam.
