Fade out editing (LAST FADE)
Fade out editing allows for automatic recording of compact disc
tracks in order. At the end of side A of the tape, a track that cannot
be recorded completely will be faded out, and then recorded from
the beginning of side "B".
During recording, silent gaps of approximately 4 seconds are auto-
matically inserted between tracks (auto space function).
A tape such as follows willbe made:

Switch on the power.

Load a cassette in deck 2.
Check that the tape's erasure prevention tabs (see page 75)
are intact, and then insert the cassette into deck 2.
When making a Dolby NR recording, press DOLBY NR to
select "B" or "C".
Select the "©"
reverse mode for automatic
two-sided recording.
Press OPEN/CLOSE on the CD player to load
a disc.
Press LAST FADE.
LAST FADE indicator will light.
The recording will start after the following steps.
1. The CCRT function will activate automatically.
(See page 43.)
2. The cassette deck will automatically rewind the tape and
then advance the tape beyond the leader tape, and then
stop.
3. The compact disc player automatically scans for the peak
(highest) level of the entire disc (ATLS; see page 47) and
then recording will start.
Lights
When edit-recording has finished, the deck automatically enters the
recording standby mode.
You can specify the tracks to be recorded in the desired sequence
using the program play function. (See next page.)
When LINK indicator lights, you can record the tracks of another
disc in succession. (See page 52.)
