The system specifies the track order that fits on tape side "A".
Like the sequential CD recording, first the system estimates the
length of the cassette tape. After making an estimate, the cassette
deck starts recording to calculate the actual tape length.
If the amount of blank tape is too great, the compact disc player
selects a different track order that best fits on tape side "A", and
then the cassette deck rewinds the tape side A to the point where
re-recording will start.

Switch on the power.

Load a cassette in deck 2.
Check that the tape's erasure prevention tabs (see page 75)
are intact, and then insert the cassette into deck 2.
When making a Dolby NR recording, press DOLBY NR to
select "B" or "C".

Select the ''C->" reverse mode for automatic
two-sided recording.
3 Press OPEN/CLOSE on the CD player to load.

4 Press J. FIT.
J. FIT indicator will light.
The recording will start after the following steps.
1. The CCRT function will activate automatically.
(See page 43.)
2. The cassette deck will fast-forward and then rewind the
tape to measure its rough length.
3. The cassette deck will automatically advance the tape be-
yond the leader tape, and then stop.
4. The compact disc player automatically scans for the peak
(highest) level of the entire disc (ATLS; see page 47) and
then recording will start.

When edit-recording has finished, the deck automatically enters the
recording standby mode.
You can specify the tracks to be recorded using the program play
function. (See next page:)
When LINK indicator lights, you can record the tracks of another
disc in succession. (See page 52.)
Notes:
eYou cannot record the tracks of more than track number 20 using
the fit editing.
eUse a tape of under 99 minutes.
