Tool Set-Up & Operation
• Keep your fingers and hands away from the tool
head during the operating cycle. Your fingers or
hands can be crushed, fractured, or amputated if
they become caught in the tool head or between
the tool head and other objects.
• Large forces are generated during use that can
break or throw parts and cause injury. Keep all
unnecessary personnel away from work area and
wear appropriate PPE.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
• Use this equipment only in accordance with
these instructions, considering the working
conditions and the work to be performed. Use of
this equipment for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous situation.

EK628LX with CJB Bolt Cutting Jaw
1. Inspect the work site has good lighting and for any
hazards that may be present. A well lit work site
makes it easier to line up the cutting jaws properly,
reducing the risk of parts breaking or incomplete
cuts.
2. Inspect the work to be done. Determine the correct
equipment for the job.
3. Install the battery and check the tool for proper
operation, keeping hands clear of moving parts.
4. Maneuver the cutting head around the material to
be cut. Material should be located as far into the
jaws as possible for best results (Fig. 1) The cutting
head can rotate 350° and move up and down
slightly to aid in positioning.
5. Hold tool with both hands and activate the tool by
pulling the trigger. Continue to hold the trigger until
the material is cut all the way through. The cutting
head will automatically open its jaws once the
cutting cycle is complete or the force limit is met.
Use the retract slide to open the jaws if the cycle is
not complete. Stop the blade any time by releasing
the trigger.
