Replacement/exchange during operation
ROS supports replacing and exchanging SFP transceivers while the device is in
operation.
After you have replaced an SFP transceiver with another SFP transceiver of the same
or a different type, the new SFP transceiver is automatically configured in such a
way that it works in the same operating state as the previous SFP transceiver.
When replacing a plug-in transceiver, the parts of the configuration that are not
suitable for the new plug-in transceiver (e.g. auto-negotiation) are reset to their
default settings.
