Troubleshooting the brushcutter or battery
Fault
LEDs on the
battery
The brushcutter
1 LED flashes
does not start
green.

The brushcutter
3 LEDs light up

Remedy
► Charge the battery.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the battery to cool down or warm
up.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean electrical contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Insert battery.
► Switch on the brushcutter.
► If 3 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not
use the brushcutter and contact a STIHL
authorized dealer for assistance.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the brushcutter to cool down.
► Remove the battery and reinsert it.
► Switch on the brushcutter.
► If 4 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not
use the battery; contact a STIHL author‐
ized dealer.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean electrical contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Insert battery.
► Allow the brushcutter or battery to dry,

► Remove the battery.
► Allow the brushcutter to cool down.
► Remove the battery and reinsert it.
► Switch on the brushcutter.
► Fully charge the battery.
► Replace battery.
► Select the power level as described in
this User Manual.
► Block the fanwheel with the stop pin.
► Unscrew the mowing head by hand.
► Remove the stop pin.
► Leave battery inserted in charger.
Charging starts automatically as soon as
the permitted temperature range is
reached.
