22. Connect the power cable. Leave the fused power switch/rocker in
the 'Off' position.
NOTE: Surge protector (or surge suppressor) may be used to protect
the electronic components of the machine from input power
surges.
23. Connect the headset USB, HDMI and amphenol to the front of the
machine.
24. Connect thedesired welding device to the appropriate terminals
on the front of the machine.
25. Route all cables in a safe manner to avoid any tripping hazards.
26. Carefully secure the desired coupon onto the coupon arm. See
Figure 26.

27. The weld simulation can be broadcast on an external display by
using the HDMI connection.
NOTE: The ethernet port on the rear of the machine is for future
development, do not connect anything to the ethernet port.
NOTE: If disassembly is necessary, be sure to lower all stand
components to the lowest positions and remove the top pole
section before removing any stand components.
28. Place the fused power switch/rocker into the 'On' position.

DEVICE LABELS

The devices for each VRTEX machine are calibrated for optimal
performance. It is not recommended to swap a device between
machines because the device may not appear properly in the virtual
environment.
Each device is labeled with a "Tool Ref No". This number appears
on the front (or each side) of the VRTEX machine. The user should
ensure the number on the device matches the number on the
machine.
