Troubleshooting
Guide
If there is a problem, first refer to this Troubleshooting
Guide.
The battery cannot be recharged.
_ You are using the wrong battery.
_ Do not recharge any battery pack other than Battery Pack BP-
511A, BP-514, BP-511, or BP-512.
_ The battery is not properly attached to the battery charger.
_, Attach the battery properly to the charger. (p.18)
The camera does no t operate eve n when the<g>
switch is set
to <ON>
or <F>.
_ The battery is exhausted.
_ Recharge the battery. (p.18)
_ The battery is not installed properly.
_ Install the battery properly. (p.20)
_ Battery compartment
cover is not closed.
_ Close the battery compartment
cover tightly. (p.20)
_ CF card slot cover is not closed.
_, Close the CF card slot cover firmly. (p.24)
The access lamp blinks even when the <_>
switch is set to
<OFF>.
_ If you set the <_>
switch to <OFF> right after shooting, the
access lamp will still light/blink for a few seconds while the
image is recorded onto the CF card.
_ When the camera finishes recording the image to the CF card, the
access lamp will stop blinking and the power will turn off
automatically.
The battery becomes exhausted
quickly.
_ The battery is not fully charged.
_ Recharge the battery fully. (p.18)
_ The battery's
service life has expired.
#_ Replace the battery with a new one.
