C) MANUAL REFERENCE JUNCTiON COMPENSATION, CJ MODE = MAN
The manual mode is used if the device being checked does not have reference junction
compensation, or compensation has been disconnected. The CL521 is connected
directly to the device with copper conductors. Compensation is not necessary, since no
thermoelectric potentials are present in the circuit. This method eliminates errors
resulting from reference junction compensation, and thus the functioning of the device
itself is tested. In this case, the operation of the reference junction compensator must be
tested separately.
