The cable cross-sections listed in Table 2 apply to a cable length
of up to 50 m at an ambient temperature not exceeding 30 °C. In
each case, the electrician responsible must ensure appropriate
sizing.
The power cables must be used to create a clockwise rotating
field. The clockwise rotating field must be ensured before
commissioning.
Caution: Operation with the wrong rotational direction will
result in compressor damage.
DANGER! Connection work which requires electrical
distributors to be opened must be carried out by authorised
electricians, since there is a risk to life when working on live
components.
Observe the accident prevention regulations.
CAUTION! Only CARRIER customer service may start the
heat pump for the first time.

4.8 - Fitting sensor leads

Route sensor leads in separate conduits or preferably use
screened leads to avoid induction and resulting controller
malfunction.
If installing an outdoor temperature sensor for the controller, fit it
at a height of about 2.5 m on an outside wall of the building (north-
west side). Make sure that the temperature sensor is not exposed
to direct sunlight or wind, as this will impair the control behaviour.
Caution: Never apply voltage to sensor terminals. (Destruction
of the controller).
