The installation procedure includes:
grounding the system
locating and installing the ram
installing the pump in the ram (if pump and ram are
not already assembled)
Ground the System
WARNING
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
When installing the pump, ground the
system as explained below. Also read
the section FIRE AND EXPLOSION
HAZARD on page 4.
To reduce the risk of static sparking, ground the pump,
object being sprayed, and all other spraying/dispensing
equipment used or located in the spraying/dispensing
area. Check your local electrical code for detailed
grounding instructions for your area and type of equip-
ment.
1. Pump: connect the ground wire and clamp to a
true earth ground as shown in Fig. 2.
a. Loosen the grounding lug locknut (W) and
washer (X).
b. Insert one end of the 1.5 mm
mum ground wire (Y) into the slot in lug (Z)
and tighten the locknut securely.
c. Connect the other end of the wire to a true
earth ground.
To maintain grounding continuity when flushing or
relieving pressure, always hold a metal part of the
spray gun/dispensing valve firmly to the side of a
grounded metal pail, then trigger the gun/valve.

To locate the ram, follow one of the procedures below.

Bolting the Ram to the Floor
To install the ram in a permanent location:
1. Select a convenient location for the equipment.
2. Level the base of the ram, using metal shims.
3. Using the holes in the base as a guide, drill holes
