Two-Line Operation

The Handset and the Base Unit can be used on separate telephone lines at
the same time. For example, if the Handset is on a call with line 1 , you can
make or receive a call with the Base Unit and Speaker on line 2 .

Dialing Stored Numbers

There are 10 memory locations available for the Base Unit and 10 memory
locations available for the Handset. See "Entering Base Unit Memory
Numbers" on page 30 or "Entering Handset Memory Numbers" on page 31.
Dialing Base Unit Memory Numbers
For example, to dial memory number 3 from the Base Unit:
Press line 1 , line 2 , or speaker on the Base Unit.

Press mem on the Base Unit and number 3 on the Base Unit keypad.
2.
If you select a memory location that does not have a stored number,
the Base Unit will beep rapidly and the phone will not dial.
Dialing Handset Memory Numbers
For example, to dial memory number 4 from the Handset:
1.
Pick up the Handset.
Press line 1 , line 2 or talk . The LCD

displays:
When talk is pressed, the EX 965 returns to the last line used.
Press mem .
3.
The LCD displays:
Press number 4 on the Handset.

If you select a memory location that does not have a stored number,
the Handset will beep rapidly and the phone will not dial.
