Installing Memory

The SDRAM DIMMS supported by your system board conform to the
following standards:
3.3 V .
Intel 4-clock.
100 MHz.
Unbuffered.
Unregistered for 64 and 128 MB. Registered for 256 MB.
ECC.
Four DIMM sockets are available on the system board: bank 0, bank 1,
bank 2, and bank 3. You can fill one or more of the banks with 64, 128, or
256 MB DIMMS. The maximum system memory is 1 GB.
When you are installing DIMMS, keep the following in mind:
Do not install buffered and unbuffered DIMMs together.
Do not install registered and unregistered DIMMs together.
Do not install 66 MHz and 100 MHz DIMMs together.
A processor with a bus speed of 66 MHz can be paired with 66 or
100 MHz SDRAM, but a processor with a bus speed of 100 MHz
should be paired only with 100 MHz SDRAM.
See the figure on page 11 for the location of the DIMM sockets.
Turn off the system and unplug the power cord.
