SOME COMMENTS ON ECONOMY AND THE ENVIRONMENT
You have purchased a very energy-efficient machine,
which is economical with energy and water. It uses
only 21 litres of water for the normal and long
programmes,
and
even
less
for
shorter
programmes.You
can
also make
further energy-
savings by your choice of wash temperature.
J] 55° One way is through temperature selection. In
65° the vast majority of cases 55°C is quite sufficient
to give perfect washing results. If you reduce the
temperature from 65°C to 55°C (by pressing the
55°C button), you save approximately 0.2 kWh per
normal wash. This adds up to quite a large amount in
the long run. However, you should ensure that
heavily soiled items receive the necessary 65° wash.
Another way to economise is through drying. If
=— you
cancel
the heated
drying function
by
pressing the appropriate
button, you can
make
another saving of approx. 0.4 kWh per normal wash.
You simply leave the door ajar when the machine has
finished washing, and the dishes will still dry (in
around half an hour). Just remember to place cups
and glasses with curved bases at a slight angle so that
the water can run off
