TAPE RECORDING
e Recording is only possible on Type I (Normal) tapes.
@Play the tape for about five seconds to go beyond the leader
tape (a section that cannot record) at the beginning of a tape.
e Recording on tapes with the erasure prevention tabs broken
is not possible. (Refer to "HOW TO HANDLE CASSETTE
TAPES", page 16.)

in which you want to record.

Tape copying
1. Press the TAPE function button, and set the function to
Tape.
2. Load Tape I with a recorded tape, and load Tape It with the
tape you want to record to.
e Tape copying is possible in the forward direction only.
ePlay the tape you are recording to for a few seconds to
move past the leader tape section.
3. Press the ASES/COPY button.
Copying starts.
4. To stop recording, press the STOP button.
NOTE:
Copying on this unit starts from the A side of a tape and stops
when the A side of the tape in either TAPE I or TAPE Il ends.
