LISTENING TO RADIO BROADCASTS
[ Try to receive a broadcast |
e Be sure to connect the antenna.
1. Press the TUNER/BAND function button, and select FM or
AM.
Each time you press this button, TUNER/BAND function
changes as follows:

2. Tune to a desired station using the ©) or button.
{Manual tuning]
Press the © or button and release quickly.
The tuning frequency will change by one step each time the
button is pressed. Press as many times as necessary to tune in
the desired station. The ™ indicator lights up when the station
is tuned in best.
[Auto tuning]
Press the © or © button until the frequency starts to change,
then release it.
The tuner automatically searches for a broadcasting station,
stops when one is found and the @ indicator lights up. To search
for another station, press again.
To interrupt auto tuning, press the © or © button again.
[High-speed manual tuning]
Press and hold the © or © button.
The frequency changes continuously and stops when your
finger is removed from the button.
MONDO button (on the remote control unit}
Press when there is a lot of noise when listening to a stereo FM
broadcast. Reception becomes monaural, but noise is reduced.
Last station memory
The last received FM or AM stations remain stored regardless of
function and/or POWER switching.
The fast memory function will be canceled if the power cord is
disconnected or if a power failure occurs.
Beat cut function
lf noise occurs during recording an AM broadcast, perform the
following procedures to reduce the noise.
1. Turn off the power.
2. Press the ASES/COPY button for more than 3 seconds.
The Beat cut indicator @ lights.
To cancel the Beat cut function, repeat steps 1 and 2.
