Refer to "Roland Exclusive Message" and section 5.
When the keyboard is played while TRANSPOSE/MIDI switch is held down, both transmit
(Tx) and receive (Rx) channels are changed. Also, the transmit and recelve mode Is
set to OMNI OFF, POLY ON (MODE 3). If the Tx switch

Pressing the highest key (C8) on the keyboard while holding TRANSPOSE/MIDI

( both transmit and receive } to }, OMN1 ON and POLY ON
(MODE 1).
If the OMNI switch (HARPSICHORD button) is pressed while the TRANSPOSE/MIDI switch
is held down, MODE is set to OMNI ON and POLY ON (MODE 1). At thts tine, Basic
Channels

not changed.

TIMBRE
MODE
Pressing the MULTI switch (VIBRAPHONE button) while the TRANSPOSE/MIDI switch ts
held down (or while receiving exclusive messages (Multi Timbre ON)) switches the HP
2700/3700 to the Multi Timbre Mode,
MChannel
and Part
In the Mult! Tisbre Mode,
the piano has 4 parts: each channel
fs 1, 11,12 and 13.
These channel numbers are fixed. Each part channel can receive program changes
individually.
Transaitting message Is sent through the current basic channel
(Tx channel).
If the
basic channe!
Is not set to 1,11,12 nor 13, any keyboard
note
is sent
through
MIDI, but the note is not heard.
