PUNCTURE, EMERGENCY SPARE

Spare Wheel
The spare wheel is located under the
rear side of the vehicle.
To access it :
– Have all passengers get out from the
vehicle ;
– Open the tail gate and fold back the
third row seatback (as instructed under
REAR seats chapter) ;
– Loosen the bolt 1 located by rotating
anti-clockwise using the wheel
wrench ;
– Stop turning the bolt when the tire is
lowered to the place where the corner
of the spare tire hanger 2 can be
removed from the hook 3 . Do not
loosen the bolt excessively, otherwise
the spare tire hanger may fall
suddenly ;
– Hold the spare tire hanger and
remove it from the hook by pushing the
hanger upward ;
– Lower the spare tire hanger slowly to
the ground, and then take out the
spare tire.
To store the wheel in the cage :
– Place the tire in the spare tire
hanger 2 and slightly push it toward
the vehicle's front so that it is properly
sitting within the spare tire hanger ;
– Lift the spare tire hanger 2 and hang
it to the hook 3 and fold down the
seatback of the third row seat ;
– Push up the hanger
– Tighten the bolt 1 clockwise, using
the wheel nut wrench, until the spare
tire hanger is stored securely.
If spare wheel is stored
for long, get it checked
by Dealer to ensure that
it is safe to use.
– Never fit more than one
emergency spare wheel to the
same vehicle.
– Replace the emergency spare
wheel as soon as possible with
the original one.
Note : ensure that the
emergency spare wheel or
punctured wheel are
correctly positioned.Check that
the boot carpet is correctly
positioned in its bump stops to
prevent it from being damaged.
