portant to check and regulate air output when any modifi cation
is made to air heads or air ducts. In all circumstances you must
ensure that:
• The fan motor does not absorb more current than the maxi-
mum permitted limit;
• The volume of air fl ow corresponds to the recommended le-
vel.
CONNECTION TO FLUE
Thermal effi ciency and proper functioning are directly related to
correct draft in the chimney.
• Make sure distance between heater and chimney is as short
as possible, do not create ciosed angles or chimney section
reductions.
• If the heater is not connected to an outside chimney, it must be
equipped with a vertical steel fl ue and a draft regulator.
RUNNING THE HEATER
To start the heater
• Set switch (2) on position "O", connect heater to mains (see
model plate for electrical specifi cations).
• If the heater is to be run under manual control, set switch (2) on
position
the burner will start and after a short time of com-
bustion chamber preheating the main ventilator will start.
• If the heater is to be run under automatic control, set desired
value on selected control, set switch (2) on position
heater will now start and stop automatically.
• If after these operations the heater does not run properly,
revert to chapter "OBSERVED FAULTS, POSSIBLE CAUSE
REMEDIES" and fi nd out reason of malfunction.
To stop heater
• In manual mode, set switch (2) on position "O" or turn off con-
trol in automatic mode.
• Burner will stop and main ventilator will stop later when com-
bustion chamber has cooled off.
WARNING: Never pull plug to stop heater. Never pull plug
before heater has stopped by it self.
Ventilatlon
To run your heater as a ventilator only, set switch (2) on position

MAINTENANCE

Troublefree running of your heater requires regular mainte-
nance. Unplug heater before doing any maintenance work.

Cleaning of combustlon chamber and exchanger
This operation must take place at least once a year when the
heating season is over. Excessive sooting is mainly due to incor-
rect fl ue, incorrect burner setting or bad quality fuel.
Excessive sooting can be diagnosed if heater has rough starts.
Access to exchanger is made via two access doors (one via
air outlet, the other after removal of the body panel opposite to
the burner). Access to combustion chamber require removal of
burner.
Soot and debris can be removed with a vaccum cleaner.
Cleaning of ventilator
Clean ventilator with compressed air after removal of aspiration
grilles.
Cleaning the burner
Please revert to your authorized dealer for this operation which
must be carried out in strict accordance with the burner manu-
facturer recommendations.
TRANSPORTING AND MOVING
YOUR HEATER
WARNING: Before moving your heater it must be stop-
ped according to instruction and unplugged. Never move a
heater while hot. Do not attempt to lift or move your heater
without adequate machinerys serious physical injuries
may occur.

Heater must be moved by using the front handlebar and rolling
the heater on its wheels. These heaters can be suspended with
chains or ropes using the 4-eye bolts fi tted on top of heater. Before
proceeding to such an installation make sure that suspension
points of your building are suffi cently strong to support weight c,f
heater as indicated on manufacturer model plate.
