2-2 Operating Modes
The DJ-V5 has three operating modes : VFO mode, Memory mode,
and Cal! mode.
Hi VFO Mode
The factory setting for the DJ-V5 is the VFO mode.
The VFO mode allows you to change the frequency, audio, and other
settings,
There is no specific indication on the display during the VFO mode.
i Memory Mode
In memory mode, you call up and operate on a previously
programmed frequency.

Memory channel number
"M" appears
M" and the memory channel number appear at lower left on the
display.
i Call Mode
The Call mode is used when you are waiting to receive or transmit on
the Call channel.
"C" appears
"C" appears on the display instead of the memory channel! number.

The three operating modes rotate as shown in the diagram below.
