9) Turn off the power supply.
10) Close the potable water Drain Valve.
11) Drain the Water Tank by removing the Base
Cover and one end of the Pump Tubing.
See Fig. 3.
12) Replace the removed parts in their correct
positions.
13) Remove all ice from the Storage Bin, and
clean the Storage Bin.
14) Refit the Front Panel in its correct position.

2. CLEANING AND SANITIZING PROCEDURES

1. HOSHIZAKI recommends cleaning this unit at least once a year. More
frequent cleaning, however, may be required in some existing water
conditions.
2. To prevent injury to individuals and damage to the icemaker, do not use
ammonia type cleaners.
3. Always wear suitable protection, e.g. liquid-proof gloves, eye protectors,
etc. liquid-proof gloves for safe handling of the cleaner and sanitizer.
4. Use the cleaners and sanitizers recommended by Hoshizaki. Contact
your local Hoshizaki office for further details. (The instructions below
give an example of those recommended cleaners and sanitizers.)
5. Never mix cleaning and sanitizing solutions in an attempt to shorten
cleaning time.
6. Wipe off any splashed or spilt cleaner/sanitizer immediately.

[a] CLEANING PROCEDURE

1) Mix 3 gallons (11.4 L) of water with Hoshizaki "Scale-Away" (or "LIME-A-WAY," Eco-
nomics Laboratory, Inc.) or Hoshizaki Cleaner (Rector Seal Corp.) using a mixing rate as
recommended on the package.
