Installing the CPU Heatsink

1. Do not apply thermal grease to the heatsink or the CPU; the required amount has
already been applied.
2. Align the four holes of the heatsink with the four mounting holes on the motherboard.
3. With a torque driver, gradually tighten screws #1, #2, then #3, #4 to ensure even
pressure. The order of the screws is shown below. To avoid damaging the processor or
socket, do not use a force greater than 12 lbf-in when tightening the screw.
4. Examine all corners to ensure the heatsink is firmly attached to the motherboard.
