TO SEARCH FOR A PARTICULAR TRACK
(MUSIC SEARCH)
While the cassette deck ts in the playback
mode, press either the fast forward or the
rewind button.
@ When the remote control unit is used, music search
can also be performed from the stop made.
@
Pressing << will return the tape to the beginning
of the currently playing track.
@
Pressing »® will advance the tape to the beginning
of the next track.
Pressing the buttons multiple times will advance or
return the tape to tracks located farther away from the
current track position (up to a maximum
of 15 tracks
in either direction from the current position).
Example: While playing track 3 in the » direction:
If the »® button is pressed two times, the
tape will advance to the beginning of track
5.
If the «#4 button is pressed two times, the
tape will return to the beginning of track 2.

NOTE:
The music search function may not work correctly
when the following tapes are being played back.
@
Tapes that do not have unrecorded portions of 4
seconds or more between songs.
@
Tapes containing music with long intervals of low
sound such as classical music.
@
Tapes with interruption of sound, such as meetings
and language study tapes.
@
apes containing noise in the unrecorded portions.
Auto Tape Selector
This function uses the tape-type detection holes lo-
cated on the edge of the cassette to determine the type
of tape used, and adjust the player automatically to
the appropriate bias and equalization settings.
