Hard drive descriptions and part numbers
Description
Hard drive, 1 TB, 5400 rpm, 7 mm
Hard drive, 500 GB, 7200 rpm, 7 mm
Hard Drive Hardware Kit (includes hard drive cover and connector)
Before removing the hard drive, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly
2.
Place the computer in Battery Safe mode
3.
Remove the bottom cover
4.
Remove the battery
Remove the hard drive:
1.
Release the ZIF connector (1), and then disconnect the hard drive cable from the system board (2).
2.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (3) that secure the hard drive to the computer.
3.
Use the tab (4) to lift the hard drive from the bay (5).
