3A: Work Area Safety
DO NOT OPERATE POWER TOOLS IN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES, SUCH AS IN THE
PRESENCE OF FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS, GASES OR DUST.
Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
Provide adequate ventilation around the product.
3B: Electrical Safety Practices
GROUNDING:
In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for
electric current which reduces the risk of electrical shock. This tool is equipped with an
electric cord that includes an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The
plug must be inserted into a matching outlet that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
DO NOT modify the plug provided. If it will not fit the outlet, have the proper outlet
installed by a qualified electrician.
Use only 3-wire extension cords that have 3-prong grounding plugs and 3-pole
receptacles that accept the tool's plug. Replace a damaged or worn cord
immediately.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators,
ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
DO NOT abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not
use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
