To Install:
Insert module verti-
cally and press it
down until it snaps
into place. Pay atten-
tion to the notch.
To Remove:
Use your thumbs to
gently push each
release tab outward
to release the DIMM
from the slot.

I/O Port/Control Panel Connector Locations
The I/O ports are color coded in conformance with the PC99 specifi cation to make
setting up your system easier. See Figure 2-3 below for the colors and locations
of the various IO ports.

Front Control Panel
JF1 contains header pins for various buttons
and indicators that are normally located on
a control panel at the front of the chassis.
These connectors are designed specifi cally
for use with Supermicro server chassis. Refer
to Figure 2-4 for pin defi nitions. (*Note: For
the motherboard to work properly, please
always refer to the following section for
Front Control Panel pin defi nitions and
descriptions.)
