Removing the air filter
Note
Engine failure Unfiltered intake air has a negative effect on the service life of the engine.

Never operate the vehicle without an air filter as dust and dirt will enter the engine and lead to increased wear.

Oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaners, brake fluid, etc., should be disposed of as stipulated in applicable regulations.

Cleaning the air filter and air filter box

Do not clean the air filter with fuel or petroleum since these substances attack the foam.
Preparatory work

Remove the air filter box lid. (
Main work
–
Push air filter holder
Swing the air filter holder to one side and remove the air filter with the air filter sup-
port.
–
Remove the air filter from the air filter support.

Wash the air filter thoroughly in special cleaning liquid and allow it to dry properly.

Only press the air filter to dry it; never wring it out.

Oil the dry air filter with a high quality filter oil.

Clean the air filter box.

Check the carburetor connection boot for damage and tightness.
Finishing work

Install the air filter.
