Headlight beam adjustment
For the headlight beam adjustment, be sure
to proceed as follows; (It is advisable to have
a Yamaha dealer make this adjustment.)

Vertical adjustment:
To raise the
beam,
turn the adjusting
screw clockwise.
To lower the
beam, turn t
he screw
counterclockwise.

Troubleshooting:
Although Yamaha machines are given a rigid
inspection before shipment from the factory,
trouble may occur in operation. If this hap-
pens check the machine in accordance with
the procedures given in the troubleshooting
chart below. If repair is necessary, ask a
Yamaha dealer.
The skilled techn icians at a Yamaha dealer
provide excellent
service. For
replacement
parts, use only genu ine Yamaha pa rts. Imita-
tion parts are similar in shape but often in-
ferior in quality of materials and
w
orkman-
sh ip; consequently, service life is shorter and
more expensive repa irs may be necessitated.
A ny problem fn the fuel, compression, or
ig-
niti
on system can cause poor sta rt
ing,
or loss
of power while riding. The t roubleshooting
chart describes qu ick and easy procedures for
checking these
systems.
