The memory card is
write-protected
("locked").
Solution
Photo may be
underexposed. Check
distance to subject and
settings such as aperture,
flash range, and ISO
sensitivity.
Use optional flash unit.
•
Delete pictures from
memory card until there is
room for additional
pictures to be recorded.
Copy pictures you wish to
keep to computer or other
device before proceeding.
•
Insert new memory card.
Press shutter-release button
again. If error persists or
appears frequently, consult
Nikon-authorized service
representative.
Slide the lock switch to the
"write" position ( 0 49).
