9 Press the sorter key to set to the void adjustment mode (4:
VOID F).
F Make a copy, and enter the lead edge void area adjustment set
value (VOID F) at 100% copy so that the edge of the black
background is at 1 ∼ 4mm of the copy scale image. Perform key
→ = to make a copy and set the key
operations of
input value.
When the set value differs by 1, the void area changes by about
0.2mm. The greater the set value is, the greater the void area is.
Input the rear edge void area adjustment set value (5: VOID R)
in the same manner.

G Make a copy at 100% and check that the image loss and the
void area are within the specified ranges.
(Specified range) Image loss: 0 ∼ 4mm
Void area: 1 ∼ 4mm
H Press the clear key to cancel simulation 50-01.
(Note) After changing the set value of RRC-A or RRC-B, be sure
to adjust the copy lead edge void area.
For the void adjustment, use a same value to the manual
paper feed and to the tray paper feed.
[When using simulation 50-02]
Simulation 50-02 allows easy adjustment of copy lead edge by
setting L1 and L2 values. To select a suitable mode during execu-
tion of simulation 50-02, use the tray select key similarly to simula-
tion 50-01. To select input item of each preset value, use the sorter
key. For void area adjustment also, setting must be performed for
manual paper feed and tray paper feed.
The magnification ration display shows the items listed in the table
below:

* To check the copy magnification ratio, press the auto magnifica-
tion ratio select key.
Adjusting procedure
1 Set a scale on the original table.
2 C → =↵ → 0/g → =↵ →
2 → PSW
Perform the above key operations to go into simulation 50-02.
The machine will starts warming up.
3 Display example of the display section
L1: Lead edge deviation at 200% (**.*mm: 3 digits)
L2: Lead edge deviation at 100% (**.*mm: 3 digits)
4 Use the sorter key and the ten keys to set both A and B values
to 0. Make a copy at 100% a copy at 200%.
0/g → 0/g → 0/g → e → 0/g → 0/g →
0/g → PSW (A copy is made at 100%.)
