The laser diode in the optical pick-up block may suffer electro- static break-down because of the potential difference generated by the charged electrostatic load, etc.

If the results are not satisfied, do the adjustment. The adjustments should be performed with the rated power supply voltage unless otherwise noted.

    HCD-CP101 Checking Location: CD SECTION – CD BOARD (Conductor Side) – Note: CD Block is basically constructed to operate without adjustment. Use YEDS-18 disc (3-702-101-01) unless otherwise indicated. Use an oscilloscope with more than 10 MΩ impedance. Clean the object lens by an applicator with neutral detergent when the signal level is low than specified value with the following checks.
