Notes on the use of voice assistants
To be able to use a voice assistant with the Soundbar, make sure that
the Soundbar's microphones are not muted (see page 53).
Note that activating the Amazon Alexa voice assistant changes the
function of the Multi-purpose
remote control (see page 49). When Alexa is activated, pressing the
Multi-purpose
o
button will trigger Alexa or cancel a command to
Alexa.
When a voice assistant is triggered by an activation word (e.g. "Okay
Google" or "Alexa") or, in the case of Amazon Alexa, by pressing the
Multi-purpose
o
button and processes a command, the volume of the
audio playback is briefly reduced. This ensures that the voice assis-
tant can hear your commands.

Controlling audio playback

Audio playback is only possible after an input source has been
selected.
If you want to control audio playback, you have the following options:
• The context-sensitive buttons in the playback area of the Sennhe-
iser Smart Control app
• The Multi-purpose
trol (see page 49)
Ending audio playback
If you want to end audio playback, you have the following options:
• End audio playback using the context-sensitive buttons in the
playback area of the Sennheiser Smart Control app.
• Briefly press the Multi-purpose
remote control (see page 49).
• End audio playback at the input source (e.g. your TV).
If there is no audio playback for at least 10 seconds, the Sound-
bar automatically switches to ECO mode.
