Chapter 4
In addition to the nineteen SETUP functions in Chapter 3, the ProMARK X has
fourteen auxiliary functions. These functions provide the user with addi-
tional information as well as control over how the unit handles information.
These functions will be covered in the numerical order in which they appear
in the ProMARK X and are listed in the following table.

AUXILIARY FUNCTIONS
DESCRIPTION/FUNCTION
Displays up to ten satellites that are
in view and monitors the search,
acquisition, and ranging of those
satellites.
Calculates the window of availabil-
ity for the location and date
entered.
Displays the current status of the
satellites that are listed as healthy.
The angle and elevation of satellites
above the horizon are also dis-
played. Determines PDOP and
CPDOP of optimum satellite set for
that place and time.
Displays the names of files in the
receiver, the file size, and allows
the user to view the position fixes
in the file if any fixes exist.
Transfers user-selected files be-
tween a PC or datalogger and the
unit, and downloads data.
Estimates the latitude and longi-
tude (or northing/easting) of a
distant position, based on the
estimated distance and bearing
from POS or a waypoint.
Deletes all waypoints and routes
from the unit's memory.
