In case of a defective appliance
A defective appliance can cause material
damage and injury:
∙ Check the appliance and blade inserts
for damage before every use. Do not
operate if the appliance or a blade
insert shows any sign of damage.
∙ In the event that you detect damage,
please contact our customer service
department by phone or email (see
appendix).
∙ Repairs to this appliance or its power
cord must only be carried out by our
customer service.

Short-time operation
The appliance is designed for short-term operation only,
i.e. it should not be operated continuously for more than 10
minutes. Allow it to cool down for another 30 minutes, after
which it may be used again.
Blade inserts
This appliance comes with four different blade inserts:
'Spaghetti' for 5 mm spirals
'Tagliatelle' for 9 mm spirals
'Capellini' for 3 mm spirals
'Pappardelle' for 35 mm spirals
Tip! When using the 'Pappardelle' insert (
that the pieces of food are thick enough - thin carrots, for
instance, are not really suitable.

To achieve optimum results, we recommend replacing the
blade inserts as soon as they start producing uneven or
unsightly spirals.
Cable storage compartment
There is a cable storage compartment at the rear of the
appliance. Pull out the cord to the required length before
use.
Operation
∙ Caution: Please take careful note of the diagrams at the
beginning of the manual before operating the appliance.
∙ Clean the food and cut it into pieces no longer than 15
cm.
∙ Place the container under the feeder chute.
∙ Fit the gear-wheel insert into the housing.
∙ Select the desired blade insert and fi t it into the gear-
wheel insert.
∙ Fit the feeder chute and turn clockwise until it is heard
locking into place ( ).
∙ Take a prepared food item and attach its fl at surface to
the end of the pestle (diagrams I & II).
∙ Insert the pestle with the food into the feeder chute.
Always hold the food fi rmly in place until it actually
touches the blade insert (diagram III).
∙ Turn the appliance on and guide the pestle slowly
downwards, without applying fi rm pressure (diagram
IV).
∙ The processed food is collected inside the container.
∙ Take out the pestle and attach a new piece of food, if
desired.
∙ For technical reasons, a small piece if food will remain on
the pestle. Remove this and use it another time.
∙ Switch the appliance off and disconnect it from the mains.
After use
∙ The appliance should be thoroughly cleaned after each
use (see Cleaning and care).
∙ Empty the container.
∙ Take out the pestle.
∙ Remove the feeder chute by turning anti-clockwise (
), make sure
∙ Remove the blade and gear-wheel inserts.
∙ Hint: Always cut the food in such a way that
there is a fl at surface to attach to the pestle
food holder.
∙ Hint: Should a piece of food become separated
from the pestle, switch the appliance off and
disconnect it from the mains. Then take off the
feeder chute, remove the detached food and re-
attach it to the pestle.
