About AXIS Audio Volume Detection

AXIS Audio Volume Detection is an application that triggers an event if the audio volume rises above or falls below the set volume
reference level for a specified time period. The generated event can be used, for example, to record a video or alert security staff.
Considerations
Before using the application, consider the following:
To avoid false triggers, try different gain and threshold settings to optimize the performance for your environment.
Adjust the audio input gain to a level where the background noise covers approximately 30-50% of the application's audio
level graph. To access the Input gain setting, click the Audio Settings link on the application page.
How to set the detection threshold and duration
Note
To disable detection during PTZ operation, select Detection automatically disabled during PTZ movement.
1. To set the detection threshold to a level where the gray line is just above the background noise level, enter a value
or move the slider for Threshold.
2. To set the time required for the audio volume to be above the detection threshold before the trigger is activated, enter a
value or move the slider for Above Threshold (s).
3. To set the time required for the audio volume to be below the detection threshold before the trigger is deactivated,
enter a value or move the slider for Below Threshold (s).
4. Click Save.
An active trigger is indicated by a red color bar in the trigger status area. For more information on how to setup an event for the
trigger, see How to set up action rules on page 34.

About AXIS Scream Detection

AXIS Scream Detection is an application that triggers an event if a scream is detected. The generated event can be used, for
example, to record a video or alert security staff.
An active trigger is indicated by a red color marker in the trigger status area. For more information on how to setup an event for the
trigger, see How to set up action rules on page 34.
Considerations
Before using the application, consider the following:
The application is mainly intended for detecting screams in a generally quiet environment. The difference between the
background sound level and the scream must be at least 15-20 dB for the application to function effectively. Consider
the proximity to the expected sound source, the background noise level and the audio input gain level when installing
the product.
Adjust the audio input gain to a level where the background noise covers approximately 30-50% of the application's audio
level graph. To access the Input gain setting, click the Audio Settings link on the application page.
If the interval between screams is less than 3 seconds, the application regards it as one scream.

About AXIS Removed Object Detection

AXIS Removed Object Detection is an application that triggers an event if an object in a set area is removed. The generated event can
be used, for example, to record a video or alert security staff.
