3. Locate the emergency lowering end stop switch B.
Visually check if there is clearance between collet D
and the chassis.
a. If not: whilst retaining the geometry of the
emergency lowering end stop strap wire F and the
collet arm, loosen the collet's grub screw H with
a 2 mm Allen key.
b. Create clearance between collet and chassis.
c. Ensure the emergency lowering end stop strap wire
F is centered between both chassis' plates. Apply
thread lock and retighten the collet's grub screw H.
4. Test both the loose strap and emergency lowering end
stop strap functions. Refer, respectively, to chapters
7.3 Checking Loose Strap Function, page 22 and 7.4
Checking Emergency Lowering End Stop Strap Function,
page 22. These tests can be carried out with the
hoist remaining on the table. If the fault is rectified,
re-assemble the hoist. If not, continue with step 5.

5. Adjust tension on the slack strap wire:
A
a. Loosen the collet grub screw G with a 2 mm Allen
key. Note the spring J will now pull the collet arm
C against the switch so it is open circuit.
b. Lift the strap I off the slack strap wire E and lift
up the slack strap wire. Confirm the emergency
lowering end stop strap wire F is not displaced
during this procedure.
c. Ensure the slack strap wire E is centered between
both chassis' plates. Apply thread lock and
retighten the collet grub screw G.
6. Adjust tension on the emergency lowering end stop
strap wire:
a. Loosen the collet grub screw H with a 2 mm Allen
key.
b. Lift the emergency lowering end stop strap wire
F off the strap I.
c. Ensure the emergency lowering end stop strap wire
F is centered between both chassis' plates. Apply
thread lock and retighten the collet grub screw H.
