Engine Oil

Change oil:
After the first 8 operating hours.
After every 100 operating hours.
Note: Change oil more frequently when
operating conditions are extremely
dusty or sandy.
Oil Type: Detergent oil (API service SG or SH)
Crankcase Capacity: w/filter, 2.1 qt. (2 l)
Viscosity: See table below
USE THESE SAE VISCOSITY OILS
10W–30, 10W–40
5W–20, 5W–30

Checking Oil Level
Note:
1. Disengage the power take off (PTO) and turn the
ignition key to "OFF" to stop the engine. Move
controllers to neutral locked position and apply
parking brake. Remove the key.
2. Clean around the oil dipstick (Fig. 26) so dirt
cannot fall into the filler hole and damage the
engine.
3. Pull the oil dipstick and wipe the metal end
clean (Fig. 26).
4. Slide the oil dipstick fully into the filler tube.
Pull the dipstick out and look at the metal end
(Fig. 26). If oil level is low, slowly pour only
enough oil into the filler tube to raise the level to
the "FULL" mark.
IMPORTANT: Do not overfill the crankcase
with oil because the engine may be damaged.
Do not run engine with oil below the low
mark because the engine may be damaged.
