Defrosting the freezer
Humidity can form frost in the interior of the freezer or on the evaporator. This
reduces the cooling capacity. Defrost the device in good time to avoid this.

Caution – danger of damaging the device!
Never use hard or sharp tools to remove ice or to free objects
frozen on the device.
To defrost the freezer, proceed as follows:
Empty the contents.
If necessary, put them in another freezer to keep them chilled.
Switch off the device.
Leave the lid open.
Wipe off the condensate.

Warning – danger of electrocution!
Always disconnect the mains plug before you clean and service the
device.

Caution – danger of damaging the device!
Never clean the device under running water or in dish water.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during clean-
ing as these can damage the unit.
Ensure that water cannot drip into the seals as this will damage the
electronics.
Never use brushes, scrapers or hard or pointed tools to remove ice
or to free objects which have frozen in place.
Clean the inside of the device with a damp cloth occasionally.
Wipe the device dry with a cloth after cleaning.
