PROBLEM

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
PTO engaged.
Parking brake disengaged.
Loose or corroded battery cables.
Discharged battery.
Faulty starter.
Blown fuse.
Failed relay.
Loose or broken wires.
Weak battery.
Fuel tank empty.
Faulty spark plug.
Air cleaner is plugged or dirty.
Fuel filter is dirty.
Faulty engine.
Weak battery.
Operator presence switch not
depressed.
Faulty PTO switch.
Parking brake engaged.
Transmission bypass levers open. Close transmission bypass levers.
Hydraulic oil level low.
Faulty hydraulic drive system.
Electronic fuel injection (EFI)
system is malfunctioning.
CORRECTION
Disengage PTO.
Engage parking brake.
Clean and tighten battery cables.
See Clean Battery on page 25.
Charge battery. See Charging the
Battery on page 25.
See your Gravely Dealer.
Check main fuse and replace if
necessary.
Check relays in fuse block and
replace if necessary
Check wire harness and
connections.
Check voltage and charge if
required. See Charging the Battery
on page 25.
Fill fuel tank. See Filling Fuel Tank
on page 15.
Replace spark plug. Refer to
Engine Manual.
Clean or replace air cleaner. Refer
to Engine Manual.
Clean or replace fuel filter. Refer to
Engine Manual.
Refer to Engine Manual or see
your Gravely Dealer.
Check voltage and charge if
required. See Charging the Battery
on page 25.
Depress operator presence switch
by holding down right steering
control handle.
Check the electrical system to the
clutch for damage or wear. See
your Gravely Dealer.
Disengage parking brake.

Add hydraulic oil. See Check
Hydraulic Fluid Level on page 22.

manual.
