SERVICE AND
ADJUSTMENTS
Gravely Dealers will provide any service which
may be required to keep your unit operating at
peak efficiency. Should engine service be
required, it can be obtained from a Gravely
Dealer or the engine manufacturer's
authorized service center.
WARNING: AVOID INJURY. Read
and understand entire Safety
section before proceeding.
CAUTION: HOT SURFACES may
result in injury. DO NOT touch
engine or drive parts which are hot
from operation. Allow parts to cool
before servicing.
WARNING: Oil on belts causes
premature belt failure. DO NOT
allow any oil to spill on belts.

CHECK ENGINE OIL

See Figure 11.
Check the engine crankcase oil every 5 hours
of operation. Oil level MUST be maintained in
safe operating range on dipstick at all times
or engine damage will result. See engine
manual for correct oil level.
Park unit on a level surface. Refer to engine
manual for detailed instructions.

CHANGE ENGINE OIL

Change oil per engine manufacturer's
recommendations. Refer to Engine Manual
for detailed instructions.
Run engine just prior to changing oil. Warm
oil will flow more freely and carry away more
contamination. Remove the oil drain plug
from the rear of the unit and tip the unit back
to help drain all the oil.
NOTICE: To drain the oil, use the oil drain
hose supplied with unit, not the drain plug
that is shown in the engine manual.
