WARNING

Pressure Relief Procedure on page 9.
PROBLEM
Ram will not raise or
lower.
Ram raises and lowers
too fast.
Fluid squeezes past
the wiper plate.
Pump will not prime
properly or pumps air.
Air director valve will
not hold drum down or
lift plate up.

Troubleshooting Chart
CAUSE
Closed air valve or clogged air line.
Not enough air pressure to ram.
Worn or damaged piston.
Director valve is closed or clogged.
Air pressure to ram is too high.
Air pressure to ram is too high.
Worn or damaged wiper.
Closed air valve or clogged air line.
Not enough air pressure to ram.
Worn or damaged piston.
Director valve is closed or clogged.
Director valve is dirty, worn, or dam-
aged.
Wiper plate check valve is open.
Closed air valve or clogged air line.
Not enough air pressure to ram.
Valve passage clogged.
1. Relieve the pressure.
2. Check all possible causes and problems before
disassembling the pump.
SOLUTION
Clear the air line; increase the air supply.
Check that the valves are open.
Increase the air pressure, but do not exceed 150
psi (10 bar).
Service. See page 15.
Open the valve; clear.
Decrease the air pressure.
Decrease the air pressure.
Replace. See the separate wiper plate manual.
Clear the air line; increase the air supply.
Check that the valves are open.
Increase the air pressure, but do not exceed 150
