UA-30 Application Guide
Digital transfer from CD/MD/DAT to
your computer (digital recording)
Make connections as shown in the following diagram.

the digital output.
* Set the recording sample rate of your recording application to the same setting as the
"Sample rate select switch". For details refer to the owner's manual for the
application you are using.

Since the UA-30 supports
SCMS (p. 7), audio data
containing SCMS data
that is input to the digital
connector cannot be
recorded by the UA-30 to
your computer. It will be
output from the line
output jacks and the
headphone jack.)
If you change the position
of the Sample rate select
switch or the Recording
input select switch, you
must first exit all
applications including the
UA-30 D-Out Smoother
(p. 37). You should also
turn down the volume of
any audio amp system
that is connected.
If you wish to input from
the LINE IN or GUITAR/
MIC jacks, refer to p. 24–
p. 25. On the UA-30, it is
not possible to mix the
signal from these inputs
with the signal from the
digital input connector
and record them together.
