8. Connect spark plug wire.
9. Models 911173, 175, 179, 188, 190:
Check the operator presence control
feature (operator presence control /
blade brake clutch feature on Models
911177, 189). Try starting the engine
without the handle held against the
handlebar. Engine must not start. If
engine starts, stop engine by
disconnecting spark plug while wearing
gloves. Contact an authorized Ariens
dealer for adjustment or repair. See
Operator Presence Control (OPC)
Handle on page 13.
10. Models 911177, 189: Check throttle /
engine stop control. Try starting engine
with throttle in the Off position (stop
sign). Engine must not start. If engine
starts, stop engine by disconnecting
spark plug while wearing gloves.
