What you need to print

To print from your Internet Receiver, you will need a WebTV system-compatible
printer and a parallel printer cable. When you plug the cable into the Internet Receiver,
WebTV Networks will configure your printer for you.

Compatible printers

WebTV systems currently support most Hewlett-Packard and Canon printers. To find
out which models are supported, do the following:
• From Web Home, select Help on the screen.
• Highlight the Printer option in the Equipment column and select it by pressing
RETURN
• Highlight the Detailed instructions option and select it.
• Highlight the Before you can print option and select it.
• Highlight the Compatible printers option and select it.
• Highlight continue at the bottom of the page and select it.
The next two screens will list compatible printers, links to printer manufacturers' Web
sites, and numbers to call to find out where to buy a compatible printer.

How to print

To print, press the
remote control. Select the Print option from the on-screen menu.
The Print menu displays the following options:

Printer troubleshooting

Your Internet Receiver doesn't use all of your printer's features. For example, your
printer may be able to print at different resolutions, but your receiver can use only one
of those resolutions.
Often pages get formatted using a printer's smaller fonts. Also, if you are in a WebTV
system page, the sidebar on the left side of the page won't print.
When you choose the Print Screen option, the page is not reformatted so there will be
fewer differences.
Below are some common printer problems and suggested solutions.
Printer not found
