Programming the remote control The universal remote control that came with your Internet Receiver is already programmed to operate the Internet Receiver and most RCA, GE, and ProScan TVs, VCRs, DVD players, laserdisc players, and satellite receivers. This remote control is also capable of operating many other brands of remote-controllable electronic components, but you must program it to do so.
Using the remote control The remote control is searching the first set of component codes (there are several sets of codes). If the component you want to operate doesn’t turn off automatically after 5 seconds, press flashing again as the remote control searches through the next set of codes).
AUX (auxiliary) You can program this button to control any one of the following: a cable box; most RCA, GE, and ProScan audio components; a laserdisc player; a VCR; a TV; or a satellite receiver. Press this button to operate the component you’ve programmed to work with the...
Using the keyboard In addition to letting you type, the keyboard performs many of the same functions as the remote control. You will need to insert batteries into your wireless keyboard. The wireless keyboard may need to be programmed. Program the wireless keyboard • to work with your TV (see above). Make sure you’re using the keyboard within 25 feet of the Internet Receiver or TV, at • no more than a 45 º angle.
Printer troubleshooting Your Internet Receiver doesn’t use all of your printer’s features. For example, your printer may be able to print at different resolutions, but your receiver can use only one of those resolutions. Often pages get formatted using a printer’s smaller fonts. Also, if you are in a WebTV system page, the sidebar on the left side of the page won’t print.
