Controlling a Laserdisc Player, TV, or VCR

The AUX button on the remote is programmed to control the
primary functions of an RCA, ProScan, or GE laserdisc player or
VCR that has been set to respond to the VCR2 button. You can
also program it to control a TV or VCR of other brands.
Program the Remote to Operate a TV or VCR
1. Turn on the TV or VCR.
2. Point the DVD's remote at the component.
3. Hold down the AUX and TV (or VCR) button, and use the
digit buttons to enter the correct code from the previous
code lists.
4. Release the buttons.
5. Press POWER on the remote. If the TV or VCR turns off,
programming is complete.
Reprogram the Remote to Operate a LaserDisc Player or
VCR Set to Respond to VCR2
If you ever need to reprogram the remote to operate an RCA,
ProScan, or GE laserdisc player or VCR set to VCR2, use the
codes below.
1. Turn on the component.
2. Point the DVD's remote at the component.
3. Hold the AUX button and use the digits to enter the correct
code.
4. Release the buttons.
5. Press POWER on the remote. If the component turns off,
reprogramming is complete.
Operate the Component
After you have programmed the remote, test the buttons to see
which ones operate the component.
1. Point the remote at the component and press AUX.
2. If the component does not turn on in Step 1, press AUX and
then POWER.
