Empty and used oil containers
must not be disposed of in the
household refuse. Use your local
authorised waste disposal facilities
when disposing of these.
Note: When removing the engine
cover on the 2.0 l Duratec-HE
engine, the oil filler extension
needs to be removed first. To
remove it, lift the anti-rotation clip
on the side with a screwdriver (1)
and unscrew the extension
anti-clockwise (2).
Brake/clutch fluid reservoir
Do not allow this fluid to
make contact with the skin
or eyes. If this should happen
rinse the affected areas
immediately with plenty of water
and contact your doctor.
Brake and clutch fluid systems are
supplied from the same reservoir.
The level of the fluid must lie
between the MIN and MAX marks
on the side of the reservoir. If the
level falls below the MIN mark, the
brake fluid warning light will
illuminate.
Note: Increased brake wear may
cause the fluid level to drop. Do not
add brake fluid unless the level
drops below the MIN mark.
On vehicles with a Message Centre, the
message LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL
appears in the display to indicate that
the brake fluid level is low or a
malfunction of the ABS system.
