HAZLOC Battery Type Detection

This feature alerts you when there is a HAZLOC certification mismatch between the radio and the
battery. This feature supports IMPRES batteries only.
During power-up, the following scenarios occur if there is a mismatch:
The radio continuously displays Wrong Battery with red intelligent backlight.
The radio Voice Announcement announces the programmed Wrong Battery.
The battery icon blinks continuously.
A repetitive tone sounds.
The red LED blinks continuously.
NOTE:
The radio alerts you when NNTN8921 and NNTN8930 batteries are attached to the radio
as these batteries are not supported. The radio requires a HAZLOC-certified and compatible
battery by default.
The radio does not display any indication when the radio is connected to the charger or when
the radio and battery is UL certified. Refer to the radio UL Manual for a list of battery, which is
UL certified with the radio.
Check with your dealer or system administrator for more information.
